We have to abandon the idea that schooling is something restricted to youth. How can it be, in a world where half the things a man knows at 20 are no longer true at 40 - and half the things he knows at 40 hadn't been discovered when he was 20?

What a year we have had! This is my final article as President and as we approach the end of the school year, I would like to give a shout out to all those who made a difference this year. Whatever time, talent or resources you donated Mason is better off for it.
It’s July and I can’t believe the school year is coming to a close already. Time sure flies when you are having fun! By now you should have received an application for Summer School if your child is eligible. If Summer School was recommended by the classroom teacher, it is important that your child attends the program July 27 through August 21st. Classes will be held at Walker Elementary and I will be the hosting principal. Summer School is one of the best interventions for helping our children meet grade level Standards. If you need more information, call our school office today.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2009, the Board of Education approved the shift of all bell times forward by 15 minutes for the 2009-10 school year. We will post a complete list of the new school and office times they have been determined.
UPDATE: 25 June the bell times for Mason will not change for the 2009-10 school year
Join the summer reading fun at your local public library with prizes, entertainment, story times, music and, of course, lots of great books! It's a great way to improve reading skills over the summer and earn prises. More information.
